These aren't designed for women with slim legs or men for that matter. Great shape and length is true to size but the straps are far to big and don't allow you to tighten to the smallest width. I'll need to return mine which is a shame as the protection and colour are great.caroline, londonWas this review helpful to you?yes no

Bought these for my daughter nearly 12 yrs, but 160cm tall & slim. Shin length 30 cm measured as per instructions. Phoned up to get advice about best shin pads for slim legs, was recommended Malik Guardian & went for medium size. Was told on phone that padding was removable for washing which it isnt. First impression Padding is thin, but makes them light and they look sturdy enough. Go quite far round the calf, so offer good protection in that respect. Downsides 1. Only part of the straps iscovered by Velcro loops meaning that the straps cant be tightened enough for a slim leg. 2. The Malik Guardian shin pads arent anatomically shaped, i.e they are symmetrical and the top is straightish. This results in a less comfortable fit especially on the inside of the calf at the upper end as compared to my sons anatomically shaped shin pads Kookaburra Phoenix 2010. 3. Another problem area is the ankle protection, which again is symmetrical and touches the ankle bones, making the shin pads uncomfortable and probably less effective when hit. In anatomically shaped shin pads the ankle protection usually points outwards therefore avoiding direct contact with the ankle and is larger on the outside. Overall verdict Seem expensive for what they are and quite uncomfortable. Wouldn't put much faith in protection around ankle.dotty, stainesWas this review helpful to you?yes no
