The SL22 BOOST lived up to my expectations and some. To be honest these shoes are pricey and it took me a while to decide to go ahead and purchase them. I am a fast bowler and middle order batsman and in previous years I have just had one pair of all rounder shoes but I have had problems with my back when batting for long periods of time, plus the all rounder boots can be a bit heavy. I wanted to take my performance up and level and was recommended to consider having separate bowling and batting shoes and to invest in the "BOOST" system when I did. Having taken the financial "plunge" my expectations were high and honestly I have not been disappointed. These shoes are so light and comfortable it makes standing at the crease effortless and running between the wickets so much better. The only down side so far is that I had to get used to running between the wickets in these as I found the sole takes a bit of getting used to no spikes and I slipped when starting my run a couple of times when I first wore them. Other than that I really don't have anything but positive comments on these shoes and would highly recommend them for batting and fielding, you really can feel a difference and the investment is seriously worth considering.claire, tauntonWas this review helpful to you?yes no

Revolutionary new batting shoe comes with a boost midsole for incredible energy return whether between the wickets for a quick two or out in the field. A bevelled heel also makes for a smoother transition during your running stride.
The upper is designed to bring you support in the key forefoot area for quick multi-directional movements, but the design opens in the midfoot and the heel to give you the breathability and lightness that is needed for time spent in the field and out in the middle. A revolutionary TPU outsole gives you the needed traction with the ultra-sharp traction lugs without the need of the traditional spikes.
The removal of the spikes and the TPU materials leads to a significantly lighter shoe enabling you to be quicker in the middle and more dynamic in the field. A combination of a running tongue, soft upper and boost midsole makes this the most comfortable batting shoe adidas have ever created.
